Is that where the cam sensor magnet is Doing a search Ive pulled some great information on these codes especially P httpwww. Thanks a lot for advice Drove today to the dealership and picked up a plastic hose 6 per meter they gave it to me for free. The old hose got very brittle and was breaking easily. Will see tomorrow if the codes get cleared. I bought it from a racing applications shop in Athens which specializes in camshaft s and in differentials.

I sent them my original differential and they did the rest. I couldnt help myself and I visited them while they were working on the differential. I saw the whole process and they really seem to know what they are doing.

It took about one week but it will be much quicker now since my car was the first slk they had.

Could you please share. After replacing side windows, adjustment is necessary to align the glass properly with the weather stripping. The glass won't seal against the weather stripping if it's positioned too low on the regulator, creating a gap between glass and rubber.

Possibly worse is glass that's too high.

Shutting the door too aggressively can break the glass or bend the regulator if the top of the window hits the car's body. Adjusting the window doesn't require specialized skills or tools.

With patience, the height and angle of the glass can be tweaked until it creates a waterproof seal on the weather stripping. Try turning the key on and off. Also, check to make sure that the battery hasn't drained.

Putting a charger on it can restore proper switch function. The project car shown here is a pre-facelift SLK Kompressor. Window adjustment theory for the face lifted cars is similar, but the details will vary since those cars have a cable-style window regulator. Usually, the windows are adjusted when the glass is replaced.

If not, the door panel and "foil" weather shield must be removed see separate article. Large Image Extra-Large Image. Make sure that the door is square on the body before attempting to adjust the glass. This window was installed with its hardware in the pre-removal position, but the glass is too high at the rear, preventing the door from closing.

Begin by loosening the 10mm nuts securing the stop brackets to the door. Raise the window until it follows the upper body line extending from the side-mirror triangle purple arrow. Remove the drain plug if it isn't already out. Use a T27 Torx to loosen the guide rail's lower bolt yellow arrow. Adjust the window stops until the glass's upper edge seals on the weather stripping yellow arrow. Lower the window.

If the motor stops before the glass purple arrow is below the rubber seals, the window will need to be adjusted downward. On the pre-facelift R SLK, the regulator rail has slotted holes for window height adjustment purple arrows. The regulator's middle bolt yellow arrow allows longitudinal adjustment. All three rail bolts have T30 Torx heads. The window's slider can be tweaked for fine-tuning any top gaps between the glass and weather stripping.

Loosening the nut purple arrow allows the slider to be re-angled. Play with the various adjuster screws and nuts until the glass retracts below the sill rubber and seals across the roof weather stripping.

If the existing glass is being reinstalled, resist the temptation to clean it yet. The dirt line yellow arrow serves as a guide for proper window adjustment assuming the glass sealed properly before it was removed. Then tighten the nuts and bolt, replace the rubber drain plug, and lube the regulator and rails.

The amount of air in the engine is controlled by the air intake system. A throttle body is part of the air intake system that helps control the amount of air that gets into the engine. The throttle body has a throttle plate. If the plate is closed, it prevents the air from getting into the engine.

When you push the gas pedal, it opens the plate, allowing the air to enter the engine. The amount of air depends on the position of the plate, which is controlled by the gas pedal. The harder you push the gas pedal, the wider the plate will open, and more air will flow to the engine.

This means more power and more speed. The throttle position sensor reports the position of the gas pedal to the computer in your car Engine Control Unit. The computer then determines the position of the throttle plate. It also calculates the amount of air flow to the engine and the amount of fuel to be injected for the required ratio of air-fuel mixture.

The throttle position sensor also controls the shifting of the gears. If this sensor stops working, the car's computer will not be able to calculate the right amount of fuel to be injected in the system. It may not be able to change the gears. Your car will not get the right amount of power. It may not even start. The Check Engine light may come on. If you notice that the gears are not changing properly, get the throttle position sensor TPS inspected.

A good mechanic will clean the throttle body during a tune-up. If the Check Engine light is on, get the car inspected as soon as you can. Your vehicle depends on an optimal mixture of air and fuel in order to run optimally.

The amount of air that enters the engine is controlled by the air intake system. The faster your engine is moving, the more air it needs, so your air intake system is in tune with your gas pedal.

The computer then chooses the optimal position for the throttle plate, which is the part of the air intake system that lets air into the engine. When the throttle position sensor malfunctions, the engine control unit has no information about the gas pedal, and the throttle plate is not utilized. Our mobile mechanics offer services 7 days a week.
