Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thank you for your reply. However, I am still unsure. The link you supplied for Method 1 says what to do when upgrading to Windows I already have Windows 10, it was preinstalled on the PC when I bought it.
As for Method 2, I just ran a check for updates with the HP Support Assistant and it didn't say anything about updating any chipset drivers. So I wonder if it's really necessary to update it? Also, just a sidenote: I am very disappointed in Microsoft for continuing to force updates on us that we don't need and that end up causing problems for many of us. The only Windows updates I care about are security-related. I really don't care about all the new apps and new design and other nonsense that is included in these big seaonal updates.
